Will my child be able to stay engaged?
Sessions are designed to be short, fun and interactive. We use songs, toys, visuals, and tools like virtual backgrounds to keep your child interested—plus we’re trained in leading programs like Hanen®, which work beautifully via video.
What can I expect from my child’s first appointment?
Your therapist will get to know your child, assess their needs, and start building a tailored therapy plan. You’ll join the session too, so we can talk through your goals and answer any questions.
We’ll use fun, interactive tools—like games, visuals and props—to help your child feel comfortable and engaged. If your child is very young, we’ll guide you in how to support their progress between sessions.

How is online speech therapy different to in-person speech therapy?
In many ways, it isn’t! You’ll still receive:
- Therapy from a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) registered with Speech Pathology Australia
- Personalised, evidence-based therapy plans tailored to your child’s goals
- Access to leading therapy methods including Lidcombe, Camperdown, Hanen, PEERS, Sounds-Write and more
- The same high standards in planning, delivery, and clinical care as you’d expect in any in-person setting

How do I prepare for the first session?
It’s simple. All you need is:
- A stable internet connection
- A quiet, well-lit space
- A computer, tablet or smartphone

What equipment do I need for online speech therapy?
All you need is a device (computer, tablet or smartphone) with internet access. A headset can help improve sound quality, but it’s optional.
We use secure, confidential and easy-to-use video conferencing software. Most families are set up and ready to go within minutes.
What if my child (or the client) can’t use a phone or computer?
Not a problem. As long as there’s someone who can assist (like a parent, teacher or carer), we can work with them too.
For these clients, therapy often involves coaching the communication partner to help deliver activities and strategies. It’s still effective, supportive and personalised.
Is online speech therapy covered by the NDIS?
Yes. If you have funding under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living, your sessions with us are fully covered under the NDIS. No out-of-pocket expenses.
